Comox Medical Clinic
We are a very collegial and supportive group of physicians. We enjoy working together and helping each other. We include brand new physicians up to those with 30+ years experience. Our vision has always been that our clinic would have a long term presence in our community, and so we work hard to recruit and then assist new physicians as they begin practice with us. Our physical space is run efficiently and our clinic decisions are collaborative. We have a special group of staff who create a uniquely welcoming environment for our patients, all led by an amazing office manager. We endeavour to provide excellent patient centred care to each person.

Locum – Comox Medical Clinic (Nov. 1-Dec. 31)
Comox Medical Clinic is seeking locum coverage for November 2026 until the end of December. The clinic is in the heart of the beautiful seaside town of Comox just 5 minutes from the new Comox Valley Hospital. We currently have 7 physicians who share the office time working together from full time (4 office days a week) to part time (2 office days per week).
- SUPPORTIVE COLLEAGUES: We have built a reputation around being there for each other in our medical practices and life beyond. Just ask any one of us!
- FLEXIBILITY: Individual office desk and exam rooms for in-person and Telehealth visits.
- EMR: Accuro. Training will be provided
- OUTSTANDING SUPPORT STAFF: Full time professional office manager and dedicated knowledgeable MOA staff.
- REDUCED WORKLOAD: A full-time Registered Nurse provides in-clinic phlebotomy, suture removal and wound care. As well as knowledgeable patient communication to assist with ongoing medical care.
Our work environment ensures "going to work" is never "just going to work". This could be a great opportunity to commit to covering a family physician panel in an easy, supportive environment.
Compensation
LFP or FFS; Overhead 30% (reconciled to a daily rate once billings have been paid)
Qualifications
Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia required.
